To Worship Is My Passion

What love have you had from an early age? Mine was music. I was born and raised in Hoboken, NJ, in a Christian family that nurtured my love for music. It became a flame that never died. Growing up in church, I was captivated by the power of music to connect and uplift. This inspired me to write my first song before I even became a teenager! For over 30 years, beginning when I was about 18 years old, I have poured my heart into growing as a worship leader, whether it is with a small group or hundreds.

For years, I held a deep desire to produce an album, a journey woven with challenges that I’ll share as you join me in this journey. In 2012, I released my first single, Caminar en Victoria. It was a milestone that fueled my dream to bring to life the many songs I’ve been inspired to create in both English and Spanish. Today, I am pushing forward to produce all these songs. My prayer is that each song will bless you. May it bring you encouragement and hope. And, above all, may it draw you closer to our God and Savior.

Inside The "Studio" Booth

Who needs a fancy recording studio when you have… a closet? I converted this little space into my vocal booth with the finest soundproofing materials known to mankind: foam panels, carpet scraps, a mountain of sofa pillows, and a quilt dramatically draped over the door like a royal curtain. Add a mic, a monitor, and a wobbly stool, and voilà—studio magic! It’s not exactly spacious (or comfortable), but it does the job. Someday I’d love to soundproof the actual studio room, but since the Garden State Parkway is just a few feet away serenading me with nonstop traffic noise, let’s just say… this closet and I are in a long-term relationship.

Why The Bible Verse Songs?

This all started while I was researching for my blog, somewhere between cross-referencing translations and drinking my Kombucha tea, I thought, “Hey… why not sing the verses instead of just writing about them?” The challenge I gave myself was simple (or so I thought): don’t change a single word of Scripture. That means I spend a lot of time comparing Bible translations just to find the one with the best rhythm and lyrical flow. What began as a “quick little project” has now turned into full-blown music productions—with mixing, mastering (which is not my forte), and more layers than I intended. But honestly? It’s been a blast. I just need a lot of prayer… because at this point, I can’t stop. And I don’t want to!
